Well I’ve figured out what to add onto Ms. Forest. I’ve listened to you all telling me she needed a necklace so I made her one out of grey rough diamonds and added a little more lace to the hat on her head so that it was more visible. I’ve also added a little bit of shredded lace to her arms and pulled some of the hair off of her face. Thank you all for your input with this one, I’m very happy with the final results.
This is another doll that I had worked on over my 3 day weekend last week. She’s the first free standing doll that I’ve made. I wanted to show off her dress which is the problem that I have with my seated dolls. Her arms are bendable so that they could be adjusted. Also, with this doll I wanted to show more of my inner weird dark side which I plan on sprinkling into the next few dolls that I make.
Well here is the finished Blushing Bride and the Nervous Groom. The most challenging part was creating the groom since I never created a guy doll before. I never had to work with making pants, shirts or a jacket so it was pretty tough but I managed to put something together. There are quite a few things that I have to look out for next time. Overall, it was a very fun and challenging learning process. Big congrats to my brother and his beautiful bride!
I know I posted her up here before, but I finally took better photos of her so I figured I’d share them with you all. I had given her to my mother as a gift and I just went back over there to take her picture.
Here are some of my better photos of Nya. She is currently up for sale on etsy. http://www.etsy.com/listing/68210355/nya-melandolly-art-doll
