Here’s Boo with her new neighbors at MF Gallery’s Annual toy show in Brooklyn. This marked my first public showing of one of my dolls in a gallery, I hope to be in many, many more! The show will be up until Dec.18th, I hope she sells.

My doll “Boo” AKA “I didn’t mean to hurt you” has made her way into an online sculpture showcase on Artslant! You can check her out here http://www.artslant.com/ny/showcases/showcase?sublist=18^sculpture
I am so happy to share with you all that Boo has made it into a toy show coming up this November! This is going to be my first show so I really don’t know what to expect. I just know that I feel honored that little old me will be among amazingly talented and experienced doll makers. I’m sooo excited! 🙂
I have finally received my doll back from Art doll quarterly. If you missed it she was part of the tiny doll under 5″ challenge in their summer 2011edition. I’m glad to say she made it to California and back in one piece and is now among her sisters. It was quite a challenge but, I think I’m going to try making more at her size.
Hi everyone, I have known for a month or so but I figured I’d share it with you all. The doll that I created for the small doll challenge is going to be published in ArtDoll quarterly magazine this coming May! I was notified by email and I will receive a complementary issue of the magazine. I think that this is just the motivation that I needed to keep me going and making dolls. Thank you all for listening and giving me feedback.
I’ve decided to make a mini Melandolly so that I could try to submit it into the Art Doll quarterly magazine’s contest. The rules are to keep the doll under 5″. That was pretty hard for me since I’ve just started and haven’t experimented with making different size dolls. (My dolls are usually about 14″) After the second try I have it down packed now. Just might play with this size now that it didn’t take too much time to make.
